Travel insurance for Turkey and the UAE: cost and coverage

Turkey and the UAE are the two most popular destinations for tourists from Kyrgyzstan: according to the border service, 210,000 people travelled there in summer 2026. The price depends on the coverage limit, duration and the traveller's age. Average tariffs for September 2026 for 10 days:

• $50,000 limit (recommended for the UAE): 1,300–1,700 som.
• $100,000 limit with active leisure: 2,200–2,900 som.
• Family of four, $50,000 limit: 4,500–5,800 som.

For travellers over 65 the tariff is 1.5–2 times higher; children under 3 are often free when parents are insured.

What a basic policy covers

Emergency medical care, a doctor's visit to the hotel, prescription medicines, dentistry for acute pain (up to $200–300), transport to a clinic and repatriation. Not covered: chronic conditions outside a flare-up, injuries while intoxicated, pregnancy after 12 weeks and active leisure without the relevant option — diving, quad bikes and parasailing must be added separately.

What to look at when choosing

The key thing is assistance: the company that organises help on the spot. Jubilee uses the international Mondial Assistance with a 24/7 Russian-speaking line, SK Kyrgyzstan uses Class Assistance. Check for a deductible (usually $30–50 per claim) and choose a policy without one.
