Business accounts for small business: comparing bank tariffs for 2026

All 23 banks in Kyrgyzstan offer business accounts for sole traders and LLCs, but tariffs differ several times over. "0 som maintenance" ads often hide fees for transfers, cash withdrawal and SMS alerts. We calculated the full cost of an account for a typical sole trader: 500,000 som monthly turnover, 25 outgoing payments, 100,000 som cash withdrawal.

Bank tariffs

• MBank Business Start: 0 som maintenance, free in-bank transfers, 15 som to other banks, 0.5% cash withdrawal. Total: about 875 som a month.
• Optima Bank Standard: 900 som maintenance, 20 som transfers, 0.3% withdrawal. Total: 1,700 som.
• KICB Business: 1,200 som, 10 som transfers, 0.4% withdrawal. Total: 1,850 som.
• Bakai Bank Entrepreneur: 500 som, 25 som transfers, 0.5% withdrawal, free internet banking. Total: 1,625 som.
• Demir Bank Corporate: 2,500 som, 10 som transfers, 0.2% withdrawal, a personal manager. Total: 2,950 som.

The gap between the cheapest and the most expensive package is 2,000 som a month, or 24,000 som a year.

What else affects the price

• Currency control: for payments to Russia, China and Kazakhstan banks charge 0.1–0.3% of the amount, minimum 300–500 som.
• Payroll project: salary transfers cost 0–0.5%, free at MBank and Optima if staff get the bank's cards.
• Cash deposits: 0–0.3%, usually free via deposit-enabled ATMs.
• Overdraft: 5 banks give sole traders an overdraft of up to 30% of average monthly turnover at 22–26% a year.

What to look at besides price

Payment speed (instant within MBank and KICB, interbank via NBKR clearing three times a day), integration with 1C and the online cash register, a mobile app with biometric payment signing, and branches in your region. For retail, the ability to connect QR acquiring without a separate contract matters.
